Branding, typography

Inspired by English interiors and art noir, I designed the branding suite for Smoke & Mirrors, a craft cocktail lounge and basement speakeasy in Northern VA. The logo design pulls visual elements from the bar's bourbon-heavy menu, namely their cloche-smoked old fashioned, as well as the rich color story used in the bar's interior design: walnut and mahogany, brass fixtures, chocolate leather, sultry teal paint, and pops of burgundy and mustard yellow.

Laura Louise Events & Design, a luxury wedding planning company, hired me to create imagery that showcased her team and complemented the relaxed yet refined approach they are known for.

I was approached by The Big Fake Wedding to sponsor a table and provide official event photography for their 2021 Washington D.C. experience. I needed a comprehensive event tabling strategy to successfully engage with attendees.

My table design, conference strategy and photography services enabled me to net over $15,000 in wedding sales, $2,000 in portrait sales, and be published in one of the US' top wedding blogs.

TRUFFLEPIG BBQ

This logo and branding suite combines youthful and feminine illustrations, a playful font, and a refined color palette to flip the script on the traditional BBQ branding for this woman-owned restaurant. The design choice echos the business owner's desire to focus on BBQ staples, while incorporating a few fun additions like figgy pork flatbreads and a signature black truffle-infused sauce.
